  The Electronic Transfer Account (ETA) is a low-cost account designed for individuals who do not have, and may never have had, a bank account. By opening an ETA, these individuals may enjoy the same banking benefits as you.

As a recipient of a Federal Payment, you may be eligible to open an ETA and receive your payments through this account. However, your Federal payment can be deposited automatically into your current checking or savings account at your bank, savings and loan or credit union.


All you have to do is sign up for Direct Deposit!

It's easy to sign up for Direct Deposit. If you already have a checking or savings account, just visit your bank, savings and loan or credit union and ask a representative to sign you up.
